Introduction

about

The introduction to ‘The Third World Circus’ is a spoken piece, layered on the applause and chanting of a supposed audience.

It lays out a waiver of responsibility for personal offence taken by any listener. Due to the heavily politically, racially, and personally charged nature of the album, it was deemed necessary to include a notice that the material contained in the album is highly abrasive and may easily lead to offence being taken. It also serves to remind the listener that the views expressed in the album is not necessarily those of the artist, but mostly parodies or commentaries on views held by others. These views may be referenced, ridiculed, or sarcastically exploited – thus it is the listener’s responsibility to discern between what is genuine or parody, and to adjust their response accordingly.
